Hello from 125A Nethergate!
After a busy few months behind the scenes, we are excited to share that 125Architects has moved into its new home at 125A Nethergate, in the heart of Dundee’s cultural quarter. Here are a couple of sneak-peek pictures as we await final furnishing.
A thoughftul transformation.
It’s always been an important part of our journey to locate our practice within the town centre. Small businesses have so much to offer in placemaking terms, collectively contributing to a thriving local scene. We hope we’ll make a positive contribution to an already wonderful part of Dundee. The reuse of traditional tenemental buildings with shops at ground level is challenging but of utmost importance in ensuring that the places we all love continue to flourish.
A space that reflects our values.
In the background, with the talented team at Bentleys Shopfitting, we’ve been refreshing a small shopfront interior into a light, welcoming space that feels like home — a place to think, collaborate and create. We couldn’t be happier with the work Bentleys completed for us. A special shout-out to Barry from Robertsign — how good does his hand-painted lettering (and other cool stuff! 😁) look? Thanks also due to Jamie from Broughty Electrical, Andy from Balgove Plumbing and the teams at Floormax and P&M Decorators for their fantastic work.

Fun fact: the wonderful old cornice was hidden behind a false suspended tile-grid ceiling. How could you?! We just love that its now found a new life!
