Who we are.
Andrew Taylor
Principal

RIAS Conservation Accredited Architect
Andrew is a seasoned architect with 20 years of experience. He has expertise operating within the historic environment recognised via RIAS Conservation Accreditation. The practice has a widespread portfolio of completed projects for private clients, property developers, community and heritage trusts and extensive experience collaborating with local businesses.
125Architects was born from the multi-award winning practice :thatstudio, founded by Andrew. Andrew and his family moved to Dundee in 2025 and the office became known as 125Architects to reflect its new location in the heart of Dundee’s cultural quarter.
Prior to founding the practice, Andrew gained experience at well known offices Keppie Design, Nicoll Russell Studios and then spent 8 formative years of his career at industry leading Page \ Park Architects. During his time in Glasgow he was project architect for the refurbishment and extension of the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church, the award winning refurbishment of Kelvingrove Bandstand for the Commonwealth Games and the £25m multi-award winning refurbishment and extension of the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow’s West End. Andrew graduated from University of Dundee with a Master of Architecture Degree and achieved chartership and registration with ARB the following year.
Andrew is responsible for the architectural output of the practice and in working with Clients to realise their vision.
Outside of work Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and can usually be found cooking at home at the weekend!
What we do.
We design homes and places, buildings and landscapes, interiors and furniture.
We have particular expertise working with Private Clients, Property Developers and Heritage & Conservation Projects. We are experienced in projects ranging from £100k to £25m in scale or value.
We love working with challenging sites, listed buildings or those within conservation areas. We are skilled operating where there are strict planning constraints and enjoy evolving creative responses to these requirements.
We are Conservation Accredited by Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
